Today, the Tulsa Authority for Economic Opportunity (TAEO) approved three Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) grant agreements and one AHTF development loan – a move that further solidifies the City’s commitment to ensure quality housing opportunities for all Tulsans.
The four items approved today include:
- AHTF Grant Agreement with Met Cares Foundation to support the Four Point Initiative, which will provide education and financial assistance for first-time homebuyers in North Tulsa
- AHTF Development Loan to Keltner Homes to rehabilitate 10 single-family homes to provide affordable housing for households with Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers
- AHTF Grant with Volunteers of America Oklahoma (VOAOK) to support the Transition in Place (TIP) Program by providing rental assistance to veterans experiencing homelessness
- GKFF BEST grant agreement to provide $500,000 to the AHTF to increase access to rental and homebuyer assistance programs for families with young children living in poverty
AHTF is a citywide fund for production or preservation of affordable housing through affordable rental housing development loans as well as grants for homebuyer assistance, landlord incentives, and rental assistance programs.
Currently, applications are being accepted for review by the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Committee in March.
