Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center Reaches New Milestone as $2 Million in Savings Increased, $5.4 Million in Non-Mortgage Debt Reduced

The City of Tulsa’s Office of Financial Empowerment & Community Wealth is proud to announce a major milestone achieved by the Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center (FEC), in partnership with Goodwill Industries of Tulsa and Tulsa Responds, as part of its ongoing mission to help residents build financial stability and long-term economic resilience.

As of July 14, 2026, the Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center has helped its clients achieve:

• $2,001,268 in increased savings
• $5,360,860 in non-mortgage debt reduction

These accomplishments reflect the continued dedication of FEC financial counselors and the commitment of thousands of Tulsa residents actively working toward stronger financial futures. Through free, one-on-one financial counseling, clients receive personalized guidance in budgeting, credit building, debt management, and long-term financial planning.

"Behind these incredible numbers are thousands of Tulsans taking steps to improve their financial stability, create new opportunities, and build a stronger future for themselves and their families," Mayor Nichols said. "When we invest in people and provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed, our entire city benefits. Since its launch in 2020, the Tulsa FEC has supported over 9,000 clients through community partnerships, co-location sites, and expanded services such as Legacy Planning, which provides free access to essential legal documents like Wills and Power of Attorney services to help residents safeguard their assets and plan for the future.
