Five sessions will take place across Tulsa between August 28 and September 23; Tulsans Asked to Take Sustainability Survey
The Tulsa Sustainability Task Force is hosting five public meetings throughout Tulsa to raise awareness about the task force and its goals while providing a platform for residents to ask questions and share their thoughts on sustainability in Tulsa.
The task force, which was created by Mayor Nichols in the spring of this year, is tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of planitulsa's sustainability goals, identifying best practices from around the country, and submitting a report to the Mayor later this year that includes findings and recommendations. The task force, comprised of representatives from the public and private sectors, has been meeting regularly since May 2025.
"It is critical that we work to identify gaps and opportunities to improve the lives of Tulsans," Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols said. "This task force is identifying concrete actions the City and partners can do to ensure that families and businesses thrive. To do that, we must continue to invest in initiatives and projects across sectors that implement sustainable solutions."
Residents unable to attend the sessions are encouraged to submit feedback about sustainability via the survey that will close on September 30 at 11:59 p.m. The survey link is: https://forms.office.com/g/Gh4b5EHUNg
"The City of Tulsa is grateful to be leveraging the collective expertise of the Sustainability Task Force members and valuable community feedback to provide recommendations on ways to build a stronger and more resilient Tulsa," Deputy Tulsa Mayor Krystal Reyes said. "Building a sustainable city requires a continuous effort to anticipate and respond to evolving needs and challenges. We are looking forward to the task force's report and implementing both short-term and long-term recommendations."
Each session will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the following locations:
During each meeting, the Tulsa Sustainability Task Force will share an overview of planitulsa. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback through a public survey and engage in one-on-one conversations with members of the task force.

Reasonable accommodations will be made in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 for those with disabilities or those who require an interpreter for languages other than English or Spanish.
