The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things for those living, working and visiting Downtown Tulsa, including dining out at local restaurants. To that end, the Downtown Coordinating Council (DCC) has launched the Back to Downtown campaign to highlight the many safe dining options available in Downtown Tulsa as people return to work and everyday activities.
Following a recent increase in pay for many City positions, the City of Tulsa will host a Career Expo from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, at the Cox Business Center, 100 Civic Center, Tulsa, OK. Attendees will be able to connect one-on-one with City departments to inquire and apply for all open positions. On-site interviews to fast-track the hiring process will be made available for select positions and entry-level labor positions. Attendees should bring copies of their resume.

Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse. A prescription drug take-back event is scheduled for residents to properly dispose of unwanted medications and prescription drugs on Saturday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several Tulsa area locations.
Mayor G.T. Bynum announced Amy Brown will serve as Tulsa’s Deputy Mayor beginning Jan. 14, 2019. “Amy Brown has one of the best minds I’ve encountered in public service at any level. I’ve worked with her for years, both on the City Council and now in the Mayor’s Office. Over the last two years, she has taken on some of our most challenging projects - from improving the city government as a workplace to establishing the Tulsa Jail. She has proven herself as an adept manager and leader and will make a great Deputy Mayor. I am thankful she has agreed to move into this role,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said.
