City and County officials have reached an agreement to allow the City of Tulsa to use the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center, 300 N. Denver Ave., as an overflow site for the city-run jail facility as needed for overflow. The agreement is through June 2022.

The State and Tulsa Health Departments have confirmed three residents in Tulsa County have tested positive with Coronavirus-COVID-19 from travel – one has already recovered. As with the flu, the COVID-19 virus is spread from person-to-person contact. With confirmed cases in Tulsa and the weekend announcement of community spread in Oklahoma, we need to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions by following basic health tips on hand washing and social distancing. Though most recover from this illness, COVID-19 is more severe in elderly populations and in those with underlying medical conditions.
Five citywide town hall meetings have been scheduled for presentations, citizens’ questions and comments about the Improve Our Tulsa renewal, scheduled for a vote on Nov. 12. “Improve Our Tulsa is our basic streets and infrastructure program, and because of voter support for it in 2013 we’ve made critical progress in rehabilitating our roads after decades of neglect - but there is much more work to do,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said.
Tulsa Parks operates six community centers and three specialty centers located in parks throughout Tulsa. Each center offers a variety of classes, activities, and events.

Bynum and forensic scientists and genealogists from Intermountain Forensics, the laboratory assisting the City with DNA analysis for the 1921 Graves Investigation, announced a historic update as it relates to the DNA and genealogical investigation from the 2021 and 2022 excavations and exhumations at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The City of Tulsa’s Equipment Management Division in the Asset Management Department has won the 2021 No. 1 Fleet Award from The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas – including North and South America.
