The new Student Success and Career Center on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus revolutionizes the college onboarding and career process. Designed with the student in mind, the facility allows students to meet with answer center specialists, academic advisors, career specialists and local companies. The $5.3 million facility, part of the Vision Tulsa package approved by voters in 2016, is now part of the campus at 10300 E. 81st Street.

On Tuesday June 1, the City of Tulsa will begin a full excavation and analysis of the Original 18 site at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1133 E. 11th St. led by the University of Oklahoma - Oklahoma Archaeological Survey (OAS) and the 1921 Graves Physical Investigation Committee.
Mayor G.T. Bynum announced on Black Friday the launch of 10 innovative programs designed to spark new energy into Tulsa’s commercial and retail corridors in 2020 and beyond through a comprehensive Commercial Revitalization Strategy. After months of rehabilitation and recovery, Tulsa Police Officer Aurash Zarkeshan will be back home Thursday in the city he swore to protect. In honor of Officer Zarkeshan’s perseverance and bravery, Mayor G.T. Bynum has proclaimed Thurs., Oct. 15, 2020, “Officer Aurash Zarkeshan Day” in the city of Tulsa.
As the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial approaches, the City of Tulsa stands in remembrance for the lives that were lost and the families of those affected by the racial violence that unfolded in Tulsa 100 years ago. A century after these horrific events, the City of Tulsa, under Mayor G.T. Bynum’s leadership, is addressing the legacy of the Massacre and making unprecedented investments in community-led redevelopment, including the reexamination of the 1921 Graves Investigation.
Last year the Community Service Council launched the Oklahoma Veteran Connections program to help connect local veterans and their families with services. The program began with 12 agencies, but in the last year has grown to 35 agencies and between them has handled over 1,100 referrals for more than 700 veterans and their families.

The Army Corps of Engineers announced it will increase the release at Keystone Dam to 265,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) beginning at 7 p.m. this evening. The release rate will change to 275,000 cfs at 7 a.m. tomorrow, May 27 with the expectation to leave it at this level through Thursday.
