Downtown Coordinating Council Launches 'Back to Downtown' Campaign

The City of Tulsa and archeology experts announced that the first phase of the 1921 Graves Investigation at Oaklawn Cemetery is now complete, which consists of the archeological exhumation and fieldwork.

City Selects Award-winning Architecture Firm for Greenwood Cultural Center Renovation

After a recommendation from the Greenwood Cultural Center Board, Mayor G.T. Bynum selected the Moody Nolan / JCJ Architecture team to lead the Greenwood Cultural Center’s renovation project. Moody Nolan will oversee the design and serve as a cultural adviser for the renovations, JCJ Architecture will be the local architect of record.

The Tulsa Municipal Court is a Court of Record, authorized under City Ordinance, with jurisdiction in the City of Tulsa. The Court is responsible for misdemeanor traffic, parking and criminal offenses; as well as code violations for health, fire, animal, and zoning violations.

City’s Equipment Management Division Wins No. 1 Fleet Award

The City of Tulsa’s Equipment Management Division in the Asset Management Department has won the 2021 No. 1 Fleet Award from The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas – including North and South America. Other contest sponsors were the National Association of Fleet Administrators and North Carolina State University Clean Transportation. Equipment Management (EMD) maintains the City of Tulsa’s vehicle fleet, including police and fire vehicles.

City to Receive Planning Grant to Implement Free Financial Counseling Service for Tulsans

Tulsa has been selected to receive a $20,000 planning grant from the national Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund) to implement proven financial empowerment programming. Goodwill Industries of Tulsa will partner with the City of Tulsa to offer this free, professional, one-on-one financial counseling as a public service through the creation of a Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) which will be scheduled to open in late 2020.
