City of Tulsa To Host Second Round of Resilient Tulsa Equity Dialogues

As part of the Resilient Tulsa Strategy, the Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Equity (MORE) will host its second round of Equity Dialogues starting Oct. 20, 2020, to further encourage meaningful conversations to bring better understanding and unity among Tulsans from different backgrounds.

South Yale Avenue between East 81st Street and East 91st Street, under construction for widening from two to six lanes, is scheduled to reopen to through traffic on Wednesday, July 27. One lane will be open in each direction until construction progresses to allow more lanes to open.

Tulsa Receives Competitive Grant to Kickstart Local Municipal Financial Empowerment Efforts

The Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund) announced Tulsa as one of 10 cities to receive a $20,000 planning grant and an intensive six to nine month technical assistance engagement partnership to identify and plan for local municipal financial empowerment strategic priorities. The CFE Fund’s CityStart initiative, with support from JPMorgan Chase and others, offers cities a structured approach to identify financial empowerment goals, convene stakeholders for sustainable success, develop concrete strategies, and ultimately craft an actionable blueprint rooted in local priorities and opportunities.

Grants Administration Seeking Volunteer Grant Evaluators

Volunteers are needed to assist in the review of HUD grant applications. Applicants will need to participate in one hour of training and then will evaluate approximately three different proposals, requiring 1-2 hours each for evaluation.
