Thursday we had the honor of hosting the Third Children’s Naturalization Ceremony at the Gathering Place. Ninety children from 26 different countries - Brazil, Burma, Cameroon, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Australia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Vietnam - became US. Citizens.
The City of Tulsa will host a Career Expo from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at the Cox Business Center.
Curbside recycling will restart soon in Tulsa, with Tulsa Recycle & Transfer almost ready to resume operations. Beginning Jan. 31, 2022, customers need to be sure that their trash is in the gray cart and their recycling is in the blue cart at 5 a.m. on their pickup day. Refuse and recycling will be collected separately starting on that day.
Mayor G. T. Bynum and the Mass Graves Investigation Public Oversight Committee will hold its first public meeting on Thursday, June 27, 5:30 p.m. at the 36th Street Event Center, 1125 E. 36th St. N., to discuss plans to begin the investigative process into the potential mass graves search from the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The first meeting was originally scheduled in May but had to be rescheduled due to severe weather in Tulsa.

The City of Tulsa’s Housing, Homelessness & Mental Health Task Force will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, February 28, at 5:30 p.m. at OU Tulsa's Schusterman Learning Center, 4502 E. 41st Street.
