Mayor Bynum Names Blake Ewing as Chief of Staff

Mayor Bynum has announced Blake Ewing will serve as his Chief of Staff beginning Sept. 6, 2022. The Chief of Staff is responsible for providing strategy and project management for the Mayor’s Administration, including comprehensive strategic direction for the city.

Mayor Bynum, Housing Policy Director Announce City of Tulsa Affordable Housing Strategy

Mayor G.T. Bynum and Housing Policy Director Becky Gligo announced the City of Tulsa Affordable Housing Strategy, with some of its first phases underway and others set to rollout in the first quarter of 2020. The City of Tulsa Affordable Housing Strategy hinges on four core values to develop strategies to strengthen neighborhoods, preserve and develop affordable housing opportunities, reduce evictions and help lower the number of Tulsans facing homelessness. Gligo says the strategy is vital to Tulsa’s future, as Tulsa lacks more than 4,000 quality affordable housing units and ranks as the 11th highest evictor in the nation.

Traffic calming, often referred to as speed humps, can be achieved through citizen-based, grassroots education, enforcement and engineering. Education can lead to a dialogue between residents who are concerned about traffic safety in their neighborhoods.

1921 Graves Public Oversight Committee to Meet Virtually March 1

Following the completed summer 2021 excavation and initial lab analysis work at Oaklawn Cemetery, researchers from the University of Oklahoma - Oklahoma Archaeological Survey (OAS) and the 1921 Graves Physical Investigation Committee will present their findings to the Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation on Tuesday, March 1, at 5 p.m.
