The second Gallup-Tulsa CitiVoice Index survey is currently being mailed to Tulsa residents. The survey gives the City a better understanding of community needs, which helps shape policy and strategic decision-making. In 2018, the first Gallup survey was mailed to 22,500 residents, which found Tulsans were optimistic the city was improving, showed residents were seeing numerous economic opportunities with room to grow, and found residents saw room for improvement in Tulsans who said they were thriving.
The city of Tulsa continues to be under an emergency declaration in response to winter weather - the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency (TAEMA) Emergency Operations Plan is being followed. TAEMA’s Emergency Operations Center is now fully activated for the winter storm.

Tulsa Animal Welfare (TAW), Humane Society of Tulsa (HST) and the Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tulsa SPCA) announced the creation of the Coalition for Tulsa Pets, a collaborative effort to develop and execute a community plan to increase the live release rate at Tulsa Animal Welfare and provide comprehensive and sustainable services for the pets.

On March 6, the first Tulsa County resident was confirmed positive for COVID-19. On July 23, 1 percent of Tulsa County residents had tested positive for COVID-19. By August 30, more than 2 percent of Tulsa County tested positive. As long as the virus continues to spread in the community, residents are at risk of contracting the virus.
