Thursday we had the honor of hosting the Third Children’s Naturalization Ceremony at the Gathering Place. Ninety children from 26 different countries - Brazil, Burma, Cameroon, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Australia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Vietnam - became US. Citizens.

During a Naturalization Ceremony Thursday morning, 40 new citizens, representing 14 different countries, gave their oath of allegiance to the United States.
City Hall, Municipal Court and other City facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal.
