City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Mayor G.T. Bynum, 12 & 12, Inc. and the Tulsa Police Department celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Tulsa Sobering Center, which serves as a jail diversion program designed to offer an alternative to adult men and women detained for public intoxication.

There is a new option for adults detained for public intoxication in Tulsa. At the discretion of a detaining police officer, adults who have not committed any other crimes, will be taken to the Tulsa Sobering Center for a 10-hour period to “sleep it off” in a safe clean environment.
City Hall and some other City facilities will be closed on Friday, April 19, for Good Friday. Public safety and mission-critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999. Refuse, recycling, and bulky waste service in Tulsa will operate as normal on Friday.
Mayor G.T. Bynum presented the Tulsa City Council a draft proposal of the renewal of Improve Our Tulsa, which serves as the City’s basic streets and infrastructure program.
Beginning in October, certain fixed rate structures on City of Tulsa utility bills are changing. Rate changes will result in the typical City of Tulsa residential utility bill increasing by about $7/month. Rate changes are due to inflation, supply chain challenges, and increases in contract prices between the City and its vendors.
