Mayor Bynum Names Michelle Brooks as City’s Director of Communications

Mayor G.T. Bynum has named Michelle Brooks as the City of Tulsa’s Director of Communications. The hiring comes on the heels of Michelle’s appointment as the Interim Director of Communications, while serving in her role as the Deputy Director of Communications and Mayoral Press Secretary. She will take her post effective immediately.

Ransomware Update June 22 – Tulsa Police Citations Posted on Dark Web; Tulsa Residents Should Take Necessary Precautions

Tuesday, the City of Tulsa was made aware the persons responsible for the May 2021 City of Tulsa ransomware attack shared more than 18,000 City files via the dark web mostly in the form of police citations and internal department files. Police citations contain some Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as name, date of birth, address and driver’s license number. Police citations do not include social security numbers.

Curbside Recycling in Tulsa to Restart Beginning Jan. 31, 2022

Curbside recycling will restart soon in Tulsa, with Tulsa Recycle & Transfer almost ready to resume operations. Beginning Jan. 31, 2022, customers need to be sure that their trash is in the gray cart and their recycling is in the blue cart at 5 a.m. on their pickup day. Refuse and recycling will be collected separately starting on that day.
