Prescription Drug Take-Back Event Scheduled for Oct. 26

Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse. Most teenagers abusing prescription drugs get them from family and friends – and the home medicine cabinet. To help residents safely dispose of these medications, a prescription drug take-back event is scheduled for citizens to properly dispose of them on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The Keystone Dam release rate is gradually decreasing and at 11 am. this morning, the release rate from Keystone Dam is 190,000 cubic feet per second. The levee system continues to be the primary focus for emergency personnel as the levee system is oversaturated with water and has been holding historic levels of water for more than a week. The levee system continues to be monitored 24/7. Residents living behind the levees and evacuees from behind the levees need to remain vigilant.

Real Time Information Center Operational at Tulsa City Hall

Wednesday, August 2, a grand opening was held for the Real Time Information Center in City Hall. A significant milestone in the City's commitment to enhancing public safety, RTIC is helping officers in the field respond to incidents as they happen.

City of Tulsa Winter Weather Update Feb. 23, 2022 – 10:30 a.m.

The City of Tulsa is responding to a winter weather event moving through the area today and tomorrow. Crews started 24-hour response starting around midnight this morning. Crews are working 12-hour shifts throughout the event. Brine (salt/water mix) was used overnight to pre-treat the roads, with crews having turned to salt application this morning. Plows are at the ready and may be utilized this afternoon if further sleet buildup occurs.
