Tulsa Curbside Recycling to Restart Monday

Starting Monday, January 31, curbside recycling will restart in Tulsa. Customers will need to have both their blue and gray carts at the curb by 5 a.m. on their service day. As a reminder, blue carts that contain items that are not recyclable in our recycling stream will not be picked up.

Record Number of Capital Project Contracts Bid in 2020

Capital project construction contracts bid from April through mid-October 2020 broke a record for the City of Tulsa: 64 contracts valued at a total of $239.9 million. These contracts were for many kinds of projects – improvements to the water, sewer and stormwater systems, street rehabilitation and widening, maintenance and improvements to parks and other public facilities, and construction of Vision Tulsa economic development projects.

City of Tulsa Winter Weather Update Feb. 23, 2022 – 10:30 a.m.

The City of Tulsa is responding to a winter weather event moving through the area today and tomorrow. Crews started 24-hour response starting around midnight this morning. Crews are working 12-hour shifts throughout the event. Brine (salt/water mix) was used overnight to pre-treat the roads, with crews having turned to salt application this morning. Plows are at the ready and may be utilized this afternoon if further sleet buildup occurs.
