Due to the COVID-19 threat, the test excavation will be postponed until it is safe to continue. Nine City Councilors and the City Auditor were sworn-in today during a ceremony at the University of Tulsa's Lorton Performance Center. City Auditor Cathy Criswell is serving her fourth term and four new City Councilors began their first two-year term in office.
Overnight and this morning, City of Tulsa street crews continued team snow plowing the arterial roads. As the sun comes up, crews will resume salt application to expedite the melting process. City equipment remains in great shape and treatment materials remain in good supply.

Starting October 26, 2022, the City of Tulsa will begin a second excavation at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1133 E. 11th St., near the south and west of the 2021 excavation block. The excavation will be led by professionals from Stantec Inc., formerly known as Cardno, the Oklahoma Archeological Survey (OAS), C. A. Pound Human Identification Laboratory (University of Florida), the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) and OU-Department of Anthropology. Moore Funeral Home will also assist in the excavation.
