January 11, 2024: The City of Tulsa and area agencies are tracking extreme cold temperatures and the first of two chances for winter weather expected to move through Tulsa early Friday morning.

In its third day of winter weather response, the City of Tulsa is continuing to treat roads as areas of freezing drizzle move through the metro. Over the night, City crews worked to apply salt to Tulsa’s roadways after brine crews treated elevated surfaces up until midnight last night.

Tulsa Winter Weather Update Feb. 12 – 7:15 p.m.

On Friday, Mayor Bynum issued an emergency declaration in Tulsa for the next seven days in response to expected winter weather - the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency (TAEMA) Emergency Operations Plan will be followed. TAEMA’s Emergency Operations Center is now activated at Level 2 in preparation for the winter storm.
