Buildings hours are subject to change without notice. For staff safety, the facility may close following the conclusion of the last scheduled activity. Please call ahead of arrival for more information.
Tulsa Parks Response to COVID-19 Pandemic
The City of Tulsa’s Park and Recreation Department re-mains committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and residents ,and continues to consult with the Tulsa Health Department and CDC guidelines. Please note the following temporary practices and protocols are in place at our center:
- Building hours and programs are subject to change in response to health guidance and protocols, including additional restrictions, rescheduling and/or cancellations.
- Online registration is available at https://guide.tulsaparks.org/ and is the preferred method of enrollment and payment for most programs and events to reduce your wait time and increase safety.
- Masks are required for anyone to enter the facility and temperature and contact information will be taken.
- Each program will have a unique set of health and safety guidelines for the activity/event.
- Additional updates and policies will be communicated by center staff as well as posted here and our social media accounts.
General Policies Required Up Entry to Facility
- Please do not enter if you are feeling sick or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
- Enter only through designated entrances and exits (directional signage is in place).
- Face covering MUST be worn to enter the building (may be removed for physical activity).
- Must sign in at front desk AND scan your Tulsa Parks ID card.
- Temperature checks for anyone entering building.
- Wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
- Always maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet.
- No group gatherings allowed.
Our Facility
Located in Chamberlain Park, between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Hartford Avenue and between East 46th and 56th Streets North, the Jane A. Malone Center offers the surrounding neighborhood and community a place to come together for healthy exercise, recreation and community enrichment.
The Jane A. Malone Center includes a weight room, gym with a full-size basketball court and bleachers, an arts and craft room, kitchen, a multi-purpose room, and a separate annex building with kitchenette and bathrooms.
A cleaning schedule is in place to sanitize the facility throughout the day. Please be mindful of staff if they are needing access to an area in order to clean. In addition to spraying and wiping down surfaces, the building is sprayed daily with a sanitizing mist.

Our Programming
Classes, activities, events, meetings and programs are scheduled throughout the year based on the season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our current programming through the end of the year is limited and we have updated rules and guidelines in place for specific programs.

Online registration for classes is preferred to help minimize the need to touch cash, checks, and credit cards.

Fitness, Sports & Open Gym
- Fitness/Weight Room (Ages 16+)
- Revised Hours:
- Monday-Friday: Open-4 p.m.
- The Fitness Room will be shut down every 2 hours for 20 minutes for mandatory cleaning and sanitizing. The cleaning schedule is posted in the Fitness Room or ask staff when the next cleaning time is.
- Guidelines for fitness room after checking in:
- Mask may be removed for physical activity.
- Must wash hands with soap & water (or use hand sanitizer) before & after gym use.
- Wipe down equipment before and after each use.
- Maximum 6 people in each room at a time.
- Maintain 6 ft physical distancing.
- 1 hour workout times per person. No Circuits or “super setting”.
- Showers will not be available at this time
- Open Gym
- Open gym hours will vary. Please call for availability
- Guidelines for open gym after checking in:
- Pre-Registration required. (Day of only)
- Each person brings their own basketball & is responsible for it. No basketballs will be checked out from JAMC.
- Two people per hoop. No exceptions
- Gym use is in one hour increments.
- Mask may be removed for physical activity.
- Maintain 6 ft physical distancing.
- Open Pickleball Play
- Open gym hours will vary. Please call for availability

Event Reservations & Rentals
All rentals are subject to approval and are required to follow All COVID - 19 rules and regulations.
- Refundable cleaning deposit of $75 cash.
- Half of the rental fee is required to hold space.
- Full payment due two weeks before rental
- There is an after-hours staff fee of $25.
- An additional 25 percent rate fee is charged non-residents of the City of Tulsa.
