COVID-19 UPDATE: May 29, 2020 12:30 p.m

The City of Tulsa’s Park and Recreation Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and residents, and continue to consult with CDC guidance, the Tulsa Health Department and City leadership to monitor, asses and update our health and safety policies as needed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are happy to announce that our community and specialty centers are reopened, as of June 1, 2020. However, centers have temporarily limited their hours and programs as well as implemented updated health and safety policies. Please see information below for updates specific to Lacy Park Community Center.

Hours:
Monday & Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Buildings hours are subject to change without notice. For staff safety facility may close falling conclusion of last activity. Please call ahead of arrival for more information.

Upon Entry/Basic Guidelines:

  • Please do not enter if you are feeling sick or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Enter only through designated entrances and exits (directional signage is in place).
  • Face covering MUST be worn to enter the building (may be removed for physical activity).
  • Must sign in at front desk AND scan your Tulsa Parks ID card.
  • Temperature checks for anyone entering building.
  • Wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
  • Always maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet.
  • No group gatherings allowed.

Indoor Facilities

Lacy Park Community Center features a state-of-the-art fitness center; dance classes; social activities; education programs; holiday and special events; sports and fitness; open gym and weight room.

A cleaning schedule is in place to sanitize the facility throughout the day. Please be mindful of staff if they are needing access to an area in order to clean. In addition to spraying and wiping down surfaces, the building is sprayed daily with a sanitizing mist.

Outdoor Facilities:

Our municipal pool will remained closed for the 2020 summer season.  

Lighted tennis courts, multi-purpose ball fields, picnic tables, and play areas are now reopened. Please follow healthy and safety guidelines shown on bilingual (English/Spanish) signs.


Programs & Services

We are now offering limited programs again. Register online for classes, programs and league sports! Online Registration

Online registration for classes is preferred to help minimize the need to touch cash, checks, and credit cards.

Fitness, Sports & Open Gym

  • Weight Room
    • Revised Hours: 
      • Monday & Wednesday: 9-11 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; 2-4 p.m.; 4:30-5 p.m.
      • Tuesday & Thursday: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; 2-4 p.m.; 4:30-6:30 p.m.; 7-7:30 p.m.
      • Friday: 8-10 a.m.; 10:30-11:30 a.m.
    • The weight room will shut down in between sessions for mandatory cleaning and sanitizing
    • Guidelines for fitness room after checking in:
      • Mask may be removed for physical activity.
      • Wash and sanitize hands frequently.
      • Wipe down equipment before and after each use.
      • Maximum 6 people in each room at a time.
      • Maintain 6 ft physical distancing.
      • Showers will not be available at this time

  • Open Gym

      • Monday-Thursday: 4-5 p.m.

      • Pre-Registration required. (Day of only)
      • One-man drills and shooting practice only at basketball hoops
      • Mask may be removed for physical activity.
      • Bring your own equipment, balls and water.
      • Maintain 6 ft physical distancing.
      • 9 players allowed at one time in gym.
  • Private Weight Training: Starting June 18

      • Monday-Thursday, by appointment only

With current plans and policies (as of June 1 until further notice) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,  indoor reservation and rentals are not currently being taken.
