Lacy Park Community Center

We are happy to announce that our community and specialty centers are reopened, as of June 1, 2020. However, centers have temporarily limited their hours and programs as well as implemented updated health and safety policies. Please see information below for updates specific to Lacy Park Community Center.

Monday & Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - Noon
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Our facilities will be closed on the following City holidays in fall:

  • Monday, September 7 for Labor Day
  • Wednesday, November 11 for Veterans Day
  • Thursday-Friday, November 26-27 for Thanksgiving

Buildings hours are subject to change without notice. For staff safety facility may close falling conclusion of last activity. Please call ahead of arrival for more information.


Tulsa Parks Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

The City of Tulsa’s Park and Recreation Department re-mains committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and residents ,and continues to consult with the Tulsa Health Department and CDC guidelines. Please note the following temporary practices and protocols are in place at our center:

  • Building hours and programs are subject to change in response to health guidance and protocols, including additional restrictions, rescheduling and/or cancellations.
  • Online registration is available at https://guide.tulsaparks.org/ and is the preferred method of enrollment and payment for most programs and events to reduce your wait time and increase safety.
  • Masks are required for anyone to enter the facility and temperature and contact information will be taken.
  • Each program will have a unique set of health and safety guidelines for the activity/event.

Additional updates and policies will be communicated by center staff as well as posted here and our social media accounts.

General Policies Required Up Entry to Facility

  • Please do not enter if you are feeling sick or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Enter only through designated entrances and exits (directional signage is in place).
  • Face covering MUST be worn to enter the building (may be removed for physical activity).
  • Must sign in at front desk AND scan your Tulsa Parks ID card.
  • Temperature checks for anyone entering building.
  • Wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
  • Always maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet.
  • No group gatherings allowed.

Indoor Facilities

Lacy Park Community Center features a state-of-the-art fitness center; dance classes; social activities; education programs; holiday and special events; sports and fitness; open gym and weight room.

A cleaning schedule is in place to sanitize the facility throughout the day. Please be mindful of staff if they are needing access to an area in order to clean. In addition to spraying and wiping down surfaces, the building is sprayed daily with a sanitizing mist.

Outdoor Facilities:

Our municipal pool will remained closed for the 2020 summer season.  

Lighted tennis courts, multi-purpose ball fields, picnic tables, and play areas are now reopened. Please follow healthy and safety guidelines shown on bilingual (English/Spanish) signs.

Please note: A 25% additional fee will be assessed for non-residents of the City of Tulsa, and all patrons ages 10 and over must obtain a FREE Tulsa Parks ID card to participate in activities at any Tulsa Parks Community Center. Please ask recreation staff for more details.

Youth Fitness & Sports Classes & Activities

  • Golf Lessons (Ages 9+)
    • Mondays & Thursdays, 6:15-7:15 p.m.
    • $12 for 6 lessons
    • Boys and girls learn the rules and funda-mental skills needed to start playing golf.
  • Jiu-Jitsu & Shotokan Classes (Ages 4+)
    • Shotokan class held Tuesdays, 5-7 p.m.
    • Jiu-Jitsu classes held Thursdays, 5-7 p.m.
    • FREE
    • These class focus-es on two traditional Japanese martial arts. Beginners and seasoned belt-holders are welcome.
  • Lacy Jammers Dance Group (Ages 5-15)
    • Practices Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:30-7 p.m.
    • Uniform Fee
    • Children will learn various dance routines and travel to local area events to perform for the community.
  • Tae Kwon Do (Ages 9+)
    • Thursdays, 6-7:30 p.m.
    • $10 per month
    • Students will learn this Korean style of martial art. This includes beginners and seasoned belt holders.
  • Tennis Lessons (Ages 5-17)
    • Wednesdays 4-5 p.m.
    • FREE
    • Learn the fundamentals of tennis, such as the forehand, backhand and more!

Adult Fitness & Sports Classes & Activities

  • Fitness Room (Ages 16+)
    • Hours vary, please call ahead for week's schedule
    • There are daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly rates for adults and senior residents
      • For adults: $2 daily |$7 weekly | $12 monthly | $25 quarterly
      • For seniors (ages 55+): $1 daily | $4 weekly | $7 monthly | $15 quarterly
    • Health & safety guidelines for fitness room:
      • Mask may be removed for physical activity.
      • Wipe down equipment before and after each use.
      • Maximum 6 people in each room at a time.
      • Maintain 6 ft physical distancing at all times, taking turns with equipment if needed
      • Showers will not be available at this time
      • Workouts will be limited to 30 minutes if there is a wait
  • Open Gym
    • Hours vary, please call ahead for week's schedule
    • FREE, but day-of reservations required
    • Health & safety guidelines for gym:
      • Mask may be removed only during physical activity
      • Bring your own ball and water
      • Maintain 6 feet physical distance at all times
      • Maximum of 4 people per hoop
  • Private Weight Training (Ages 18+)
    • By appointment only. Pre-registration required.
    • $2 for 30-minute session
    • Get one-on-one training to help you focus on building strength in the are-as of your body that need it the most. Non-certified trainer.
  • Breaktime Workout (Ages 18+)
    • By appointment only. Pre-registration required.
    • $2 for 30-minute session
    • Come in on your lunch break and work every major part of your body. Private and group sessions available. Non-certified trainer.
  • Stretching Only (Ages 18+)
    • By appointment only. Pre-registration required.
    • $1 per class
    • Join other adults for stretching to easy listening music! Great to do on your lunch break! Non-certified trainer.
  • Tae Kwon Do (Ages 18+)
    • Thursdays, 6-7:30 p.m.
    • $10 per month
    • A martial arts class focusing on self-defense, discipline, respect and self-control. Instructed by Anthony Hervey.
  • Neighborhood Walk (Ages 18+)
    • Call for dates & times

    • If you want to get your heart rate elevated come and walk in the neighborhood for a fast and steady pace.
  • Walk & Talk (Ages 21+)
    • Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays, 8-10:30 a.m.
    • FREE
    • Adults and senior citizens are welcome to walk in the gym and chart their miles.
  • Weigh In & Win Challenge (Ages 18+)

    • Come and weigh yourself once a week at your convenience and record your weight. After 6 months, the person who loses the most weight wins a free monthly membership for the Lacy fitness room.
  • Line Dancing Class (Ages 18+)
    • Meets twice a month on Tuesdays, 6-7:30 p.m.
    • $5 per class
    • A fun and energetic class that’s great for socializing as well as learning the latest line dance moves.Instructed by Angela Craven.
  • MVP Swing Dancing Class (Ages 18+)
    • Meets twice a month on Thursdays, 6-7:30 p.m.
    • $5 per class
    • Come learn this popular dance style instructed by Howard Barnes. Both beginner and advanced classes available.

Seniors' Fitness & Sports Classes & Activities (Ages 55+)

  • Exercise Class for Seniors
    • Thursdays 4-4:45 p.m.
    • FREE
    • This program focuses on building and maintaining strength, balance, flexibility and mobility. All seniors welcome, including those with health conditions and limitations.
  • Older & Bolder Dance Group
    • Mondays, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
    • FREE
    • This energetic team for seniors that practices both the latest and vintage dance moves, and is often invited to perform at local events.

Arts, Cultural, & Leisure Activities

  • Black History of Oklahoma (All Ages)
    • Wednesdays, 2-3 p.m. in October. Pre-registration required
    • $10 per class
    • Explore Oklahoma’s black history from Indian territory to 2021. Taught by Roberta Clardy. Limited enrollment. 
  • Baking Bread 101 for Children (Ages 9+)
    • Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in October
    • $10 per class
    • Learn how to bake as good as your grand-mother made.Taught by Amelia Henderson.
  • Card Table Games
    • Tuesdays & Thursday at 1 p.m.
    • FREE
    • Come play a variety of card games and feast on a delicious meal. Patrons must bring their own food and drinks.
  • Crochet Class (All Ages)
    • Wednesdays at 10 a.m. & Thursdays at noon in October
    • $10 for program
    • Discover the peace and tranquility of crotchet and make something beautiful with your hands. Beginners and advanced classes taught by Sammye Hitchye.
  • Sewing Class (All Ages)
    • Wednesdays at 10 a.m. & Thursdays at noon in October
    • $10 for program
    • Learn how to sew your own face mask. Students must call for list and bring their own supplies. Class taught by Sammye Hitchye

Special Events & Online Adaptive Programs

  • Tulsa Counts: Take the U.S. Census at Lacy Park Community Center
    • The primary goal of the 2020 Census is to count every resident in the U.S. and territories, only once, and in the right place. When you respond, Tulsa can get more funding for local services and representation. Residents can still complete the U.S. Census online at Lacy Park & Community Center during regular building hours.

We are not currently taking indoor facility or room rentals.
