Bulky Waste Pickup Available for Residential Utility Customers
8/14/2025
The City of Tulsa encourages residents to take advantage of the City’s bulky waste pickup service to dispose of large household items. Bulky waste pickup provides curbside collection for large items that do not fit inside refuse carts, and for yard waste that is too big to bundle for the regular hauler.
There is a fee of $10 per 8 cubic yards, with a pre-set volume not exceeding 8 cubic yards. As a baseline, one cubic yard is generally equal to the size of a washing machine.
Bulky Waste items accepted:
- Empty large appliances (such as a stove, washer, refrigerator, air conditioner, dishwasher, or hot water tank)
- Furniture, including mattresses and sofas
- Up to four pieces of electronic equipment (such as computers, computer monitors and televisions)
- Glass, which must be contained in a box and taped on both sides
- Up to four tires, without rims
- Up to 10 gallons of latex paint
- Large yard waste (such as limbs, tree trimmings, and stumps cut to less than 5 feet long and less than 18 inches in diameter)
Bulky Waste items not accepted:
- Batteries
- Liquids
- Poisonous or hazardous materials
- Explosives
- Contractor remodeling or demolition debris (such as shingles, wallboard, lumber or siding; or anything not separately and securely containerized, or larger than one cubic yard total)
- Loose glass
Residents must schedule bulky waste pickup at least three days before their regular refuse day. Schedule online at http://www.cityoftulsa.org/bulkywaste, call 311, or email Tulsa311@cityoftulsa.org.
