Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Since its launch on December 10, 2020, FEC financial counselors have helped more than 170 clients and held nearly 500 sessions. Because of the program, clients have built $57,397 in savings and reduced their debt by $31,866. The program offers one-on-one financial counseling at no cost.

USA BMX to Open Headquarters and Facilities in Historic Greenwood District in 2019; Signs Agreement to Stay in Tulsa for Next 30 Years

Mayor G.T. Bynum announced the City of Tulsa and USA BMX have reached an agreement to secure a 30-year commitment in Tulsa. Through funding provided by voters in Vision Tulsa, the City will construct a new National Headquarters, National Track Stadium containing both an Olympic-caliber and Amateur Track, and Hall of Fame Museum at the Evans Fintube site in Tulsa.

The Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation met virtually on Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. to receive an update from the physical investigation committee regarding the initial test excavation and additional geophysical research conducted at the Clyde Eddy site within the Oaklawn Cemetery.

Following a recent increase in pay for many City positions, the City of Tulsa will host a Career Expo from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, at the Cox Business Center, 100 Civic Center, Tulsa, OK.
