This Saturday, September 11, City of Tulsa officials, and local veterans will rededicate Veterans Park at its new location at 1028 E. 6th Street, after a remembrance ceremony commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Mayor Announces Members of Taskforce Focusing on Homelessness in Tulsa

EPA Announces Tulsa Will Receive $500K Brownfields Grant

Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 officials came to town today to announce that Tulsa has been awarded a $500,000 Brownfield cleanup grant to remove asbestos from a vacant portion of City-owned Air Force Plant 3. The facility currently houses Navistar, Spirit Aerosystems and Nordam. This cleanup will allow for expansion at this facility and creation of new jobs.

City, Tulsa Global Alliance Announce Process to Add Mwanza, Tanzania, as Tulsa’s 9th Sister City

On Monday, September 18, Mayor G.T. Bynum, the Tulsa Global Alliance, and members of local nonprofit Mainsprings announced Tulsa has started the process of adding Mwanza, Tanzania, to its network of Sister Cities. Mwanza will be Tulsa's first Sister City added to its network in the last 18 years.

The City continues its ransomware response as crews work to restore critical systems. Various electronic payment functions are back in service, and most City locations are now accepting debit and credit cards. For citizen reporting and general questions, or questions about a water bill, residents should continue to call 311 during business hours.

City of Tulsa Thanksgiving Operations and Closings

City Hall, Municipal Court and other City facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be no refuse, recycling, bulky waste or yard waste collection on Thursday, Nov. 24. As a result, Thursday and Friday customers will experience a change in their collection schedule. Thursday customers will receive collection service on Friday and Friday customers will receive collection service on Saturday.
