The city of Tulsa continues to be under an emergency declaration in response to winter weather - the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency (TAEMA) Emergency Operations Plan is being followed. TAEMA’s Emergency Operations Center is now fully activated for the winter storm.
The Greenwood Art Project, a public art initiative of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission, opened with a host of activities featuring local and international artists, led by artists Rick Lowe and William Cordova. The Greenwood Art Project seeks to raise awareness of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and destruction of the historic Greenwood District including Black Wall Street, one of the most prominent Black-owned business districts in the United States during the early 1900s.

Starting May 10, curbside trash and recycling pickup for Tulsa residential customers will begin at 5 a.m. temporarily. Customers should have their trash and recyclables out at 5 a.m. or put it at the curb the night before, to be sure they are not missed. Pickup times may change with this new schedule.
Crews are working to conduct stormwater repairs at E. 14th St. and S. Utica Ave. During this time, Utica will be limited to one lane in each direction. Work is expected to be finished, with all lanes open, by Monday, April 8.
