The Greenwood Art Project seeks to raise awareness of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and destruction of the historic Greenwood District including Black Wall Street, one of the most prominent Black-owned business districts in the United States during the early 1900s.

Day 11 of the formal exhumation process at Oaklawn Cemetery continues as crews work to carefully uncover burials and safely transport remains to the on-site lab for analysis. To date, the team has discovered 28 burials and the exhumation began last week.

1921 Graves Public Oversight Committee to Meet on Dec. 16

The Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation will meet on Monday, Dec. 16, 5:30 p.m. at Carver Middle School, 624 E. Oklahoma Pl., to receive results from the geophysical and scanning of Oaklawn Cemetery and Newblock Park for the potential of graves from the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.
