On March 24, Mayor G.T. Bynum announced the appointment of Jack Blair as the new City Attorney for the City of Tulsa.
After a recommendation from the Greenwood Cultural Center Board, Mayor G.T. Bynum selected the Moody Nolan / JCJ Architecture team to lead the Greenwood Cultural Center’s renovation project. Moody Nolan will oversee the design and serve as a cultural adviser for the renovations, JCJ Architecture will be the local architect of record.
YWCA Tulsa and the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women have opened nominations for the 2020 Women of the Year – Pinnacle Awards event. This event recognizes those women from the Tulsa community who are exemplary leaders, who have served as role models, and whose contributions have made a long-lasting impact. Mayor G.T. Bynum, Tulsa Parks officials, and community partners gathered September 29 to announce plans to build an inclusive playground at Whiteside Park, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave. When completed, this new playground will be one of the most inclusive play spaces in the state of Oklahoma.
During a Naturalization Ceremony Thursday morning, 40 new citizens, representing 14 different countries, gave their oath of allegiance to the United States.

January 11, 2024: The City of Tulsa and area agencies are tracking extreme cold temperatures and the first of two chances for winter weather expected to move through Tulsa early Friday morning.
The Tulsa City Councilors voted and approved a citywide addendum to the City’s existing mask ordinance, which lowers the age requirement for those who are required to wear a mask from ages 18 and over to ages 10 and over.
