City, TEDC Partner to Create Greenwood Entrepreneurship Incubator @ Moton; Tulsa City Council to Vote on Budget Amendment June 2

Today, the City of Tulsa, Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) and Tulsa Development Authority (TDA) announced plans to provide $4 million to support the Greenwood Entrepreneurship Incubator @ Moton (GEIM), a new entrepreneurship hub in North Tulsa. The Tulsa City Council is expected to vote on the budget amendment authorizing the expenditure at its regular meeting at 5 p.m. on June 2, 2021.

Winter Weather Update December 31, 2020

The City of Tulsa will have crews reporting to work at 5 a.m. tomorrow to respond to the forecasted weather in the morning. Crews plan to work the morning event until it is over. Tomorrow night at midnight, the City of Tulsa will have brine crews addressing any areas needing additional treatment. There is also a forecast of snow on Saturday (approx. 1-inch) and the City will have crews available for that event to respond.

The Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund) announced Tulsa as one of 10 cities to receive a $20,000 planning grant and an intensive six to nine month technical assistance engagement partnership to identify and plan for local municipal financial empowerment strategic priorities. Tulsa Wins Cities of Service National Competition To Engage Adults 50+ in Service

On June 5, Tulsa was announced as a winner of the Cities of Service Experience Matters competition. With support from AARP, Cities of Service will work with Tulsa and five other cities to develop volunteering initiatives that address public problems related to the drivers of poverty.
