The City of Tulsa is preparing for winter weather and extremely cold temperatures expected on Thursday. Street crews are applying brine (water/salt mixture) today on bridges, hills and other elevated surfaces. Morning shift crews will report to work at 3 a.m. tomorrow to be available to treat the roads as needed with salt.

The City of Tulsa will have crews reporting to work at 5 a.m. tomorrow to respond to the forecasted weather in the morning. Crews plan to work the morning event until it is over. Tomorrow night at midnight, the City of Tulsa will have brine crews addressing any areas needing additional treatment. There is also a forecast of snow on Saturday (approx. 1-inch) and the City will have crews available for that event to respond.
