The Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation met Monday night to hear from the physical investigation committee, which includes the Oklahoma Archeological Survey based at the University of Oklahoma, regarding the field work analysis from Oaklawn Cemetery and Newblock Park in Tulsa.
Local nonprofit arts organizations are invited to apply for the next round of grants from the Vision Arts program managed by the City of Tulsa, Tulsa Arts Commission and Tulsa Planning Office. Nov. 30 is the deadline for applications for these grants funded through the Vision Tulsa sales tax. A total of $2,250,000 was approved by voters in 2016 as part of the Vision Tulsa capital package to support the arts in Tulsa and enhance their economic impact.
