Mayor Bynum Adds Key Positions to Administration in Preparation for Second Term

Mayor G.T. Bynum announced that Kathryn Junk and Anna America will join the Mayor’s Office in key roles to help serve the residents of Tulsa. Kathryn Junk will serve as the Chief of Staff to Mayor Bynum beginning Nov. 16 and Anna America will serve as the Chief of Culture and Recreation effective immediately.

1921 Graves Public Oversight Committee to Meet Virtually March 1

Following the completed summer 2021 excavation and initial lab analysis work at Oaklawn Cemetery, researchers from the University of Oklahoma - Oklahoma Archaeological Survey (OAS) and the 1921 Graves Physical Investigation Committee will present their findings to the Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation on Tuesday, March 1, at 5 p.m.

City Hall, Facilities to Close Dec. 24, 25 for Christmas, Jan. 1 for New Year’s

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday, and Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, for the New Year’s holiday. The 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation will continue next week in the city of Tulsa. Three sites were originally identified for initial scanning based on data and historian reports from the 2001 State Commissioned Report of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.
