Community Conversations will focus on major challenges and opportunities facing Tulsa
Mayor Monroe Nichols has announced a second round of Community Conversations will take place throughout Tulsa this fall. These meetings will give residents an opportunity to discuss some of the biggest issues facing the city today, including public safety, homelessness, youth outreach, essential services and other key priorities.
Each meeting will begin with updates from City leaders on the state of the city and a panel of topic specific experts will provide a progress report on initiatives underway to create improved community outcomes.
“As we navigate some of the largest issues facing our city, engaging with Tulsans will be at the heart of how we build a stronger community,” Mayor Nichols said. “These conversations allow us to sit down together, talk honestly about the challenges we face, and work toward solutions that reflect the needs and values of our city."
The Community Conversations series will take place across Tulsa throughout the month of October. Each event will highlight a specific topic area, and will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:
Following the presentation and panel, residents will have the opportunity to visit and engage in one-on-one conversations with City officials, including department heads and elected leaders.
Additional Feedback
Tulsans can also submit questions about one of the topics you would like answered by the City of Tulsa online at: https://forms.office.com/g/Q7VBrmXMVW
Questions will either be answered during the presentations at one of the meetings or a City representative will respond directly.
Catch Up
For residents who can’t attend the meetings, all meetings will be recorded and posted on the City of Tulsa’s YouTube page, @CityofTulsa, the week of the meeting date.
This round of Community Conversations will not include the full City Hall tabling event like past events, but specific tables may be set up that match the meeting topic.
