Tulsa Glassblowing School (TGS) officially opened its doors to the public Wednesday following a seven-month renovation at the former McClure Park Recreation Center. Mayor G.T. Mayor Presents $772 Million Improve Our Tulsa Proposal to Tulsa City Council

Mayor G.T. Bynum presented his Improve Our Tulsa proposal to the Tulsa City Council, a $772 million package that will not raise taxes, but fund critical improvements to Tulsa’s streets, City facilities and equipment and create a $104.2 million Tulsa Housing Initiative that will help fill a critical need for housing in Tulsa.

Tulsa to Join New Initiative to Increase Economic Mobility

Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Ballmer Group announced today that Tulsa was selected as one of ten American cities that will participate in a new national initiative to identify, pilot, and measure the success of interventions to accelerate economic mobility for their residents. NextUp, a new program administered by Tulsa Community WorkAdvance (TCW), a successful evidence-based non-profit organization, will serve as the key partner for the initiative. The City of Tulsa will serve as the government agency partner.
