Mayor Bynum introduced new hope for the welfare of Tulsa’s animal population by announcing an eight-step guide for multiple improvements. The City would increase staffing, extend shelter hours, improve conditions and operational efficiency at the shelter, and update the city’s animal ordinances and licensing programs.

The City of Tulsa is still trying to increase storage tank levels due to the amount of water being lost throughout the water system and continues to implement operational changes necessary to replenish storage tank levels. Residents are asked to continue to conserve water until the water situation fully stabilizes.

City contract crews continue to remove overhanging or unstable branches, limbs, or trees in the right of way or public spaces following the June 18 storm. More than 45,000 hanging branches in the public rights-of-way, over sidewalks, and in Parks have been identified for removal. Currently, 14,191 have been removed.
