City of Tulsa Animal Services is dedicated to providing temporary shelter, compassionate care and humane disposition of lost and unwanted animals; investigating and preventing animal cruelty, neglect and inhumane treatment; enforcing animal ordinances and laws; assuring public health and safety; and promoting responsible pet ownership.
City Hall, Municipal Court, and other City facilities will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023, in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Mayor G.T. Bynum announced Amy Brown will serve as Tulsa’s Deputy Mayor beginning Jan. 14, 2019. “Amy Brown has one of the best minds I’ve encountered in public service at any level. I’ve worked with her for years, both on the City Council and now in the Mayor’s Office. Over the last two years, she has taken on some of our most challenging projects - from improving the city government as a workplace to establishing the Tulsa Jail. She has proven herself as an adept manager and leader and will make a great Deputy Mayor. I am thankful she has agreed to move into this role,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said.

The Army Corps of Engineers said the release rate remains at 275,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) from Keystone Dam with the expectation to stay of continuing that rate through Thursday.

The Army Corps of Engineers increased the release at Keystone Dam this morning at to 275,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) at 7 a.m. At the current rate, the additional outflow from Keystone has already reached the western parts of Tulsa County. The impact will begin to be seen in central Tulsa around 12 Noon today and south Tulsa County later this afternoon. The Corps has announced it will continue this level (275,000 cfs) of outflow from the Keystone Dam through Thursday.
With the President’s visit and Juneteenth celebrations happening this weekend, it’s important to take note of multiple road closures and logistical operations that will impact commuters, businesses and pedestrians in Downtown Tulsa.
