We have kicked-off our 9th Annual Stock the Station Food Drive that will help Tulsans in need this holiday season. The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma (CFBEO) will be the recipient of food and donations collected by the food drive and will be able to deliver goods to 111 Partner Programs located in Tulsa proper. Residents can drop-off non-perishable food items to any Tulsa Fire Station, Tulsa Police Station, Tulsa City-County Regional Library or Tulsa City Hall from Nov. 12 - Dec. 13.

City of Tulsa Animal Services is dedicated to providing temporary shelter, compassionate care and humane disposition of lost and unwanted animals; investigating and preventing animal cruelty, neglect and inhumane treatment; enforcing animal ordinances and laws; assuring public health and safety; and promoting responsible pet ownership.
Starting July 5, 2023, all planning activities for properties within Tulsa city limits will be performed by the Tulsa Planning Office on the fourth floor of Tulsa City Hall, 175 E. 2nd St.
Mayor G.T. Bynum has named Keri Fothergill as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Tulsa effective July 25. Fothergill will serve in Mayor’s Bynum’s cabinet and manage the Customer Care, Human Resources, Information Technology, Municipal Courts and Working in Neighborhoods departments.
Balancing the budget at the City of Tulsa is not much different than balancing a budget at home. The money going out must not exceed the money coming in. State law requires the City of Tulsa to have a balanced budget. The City of Tulsa receives its money from several major sources, including five local taxes: sales tax, use tax, franchise tax/right-of-way user fees from utility companies, hotel/motel tax, and ad valorem tax. Other sources include enterprise revenues from airport charges, golf course fees, and utility services - water, sewer, refuse and stormwater. The City also obtains revenue from licenses and permits, culture and recreation facilities, municipal court fines, public safety fees, interest earnings, federal grants and shared revenue from state government.
City Hall public areas and Tulsa Municipal Court will remain closed on Good Friday, April 10, during the citywide Safer at Home Executive Order from Mayor G.T. Bynum. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. It’s been one year since Water Distribution implemented its Valve Program, and the City is now in the process of obtaining data on all of the valves in the city – data that tells us what assets are in excellent, good, fair and poor condition so crews can make the most informed decisions regarding the management of Tulsa’s water assets.
City Hall, Municipal Court and other City facilities will be closed on Friday, March 29, for Good Friday.
