City Hall public areas and Tulsa Municipal Court will remain closed on Good Friday, April 10, during the citywide Safer at Home Executive Order from Mayor G.T. Bynum. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. City of Tulsa offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, for Labor Day. Refuse and recycling will be collected. Please read more for a full list of services affected.
Curbside recycling will restart soon in Tulsa, with Tulsa Recycle & Transfer almost ready to resume operations. Beginning Jan. 31, 2022, customers need to be sure that their trash is in the gray cart and their recycling is in the blue cart at 5 a.m. on their pickup day. Refuse and recycling will be collected separately starting on that day.
City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be no residential refuse, recycling, bulky waste or yard waste collection on Thursday, Nov. 22. As a result, Thursday and Friday customers will experience a change in their collection schedule.

The City of Tulsa’s Mulch Site will be closed until further notice to address a fire in the mulch piles. During this time, residents can bundle limbs and branches and tie them into bundles no more than 2-feet across and 4-feet long, weighing less than 40 lbs., and put them alongside their refuse cart on their regular trash day and crews will pick them up. There is a limit of 15 bags and/or bundles that will be picked up at the curb on a resident’s primary collection day.
This morning, the City of Tulsa is continuing with snow removal and road treatment operations. Because certain crews are being relegated to snow and ice response, Bulky Waste pick-ups will be delayed by one week. Dead animal pick-up and illegal dumping operations will continue as normal, and the Mulch Site will remain open. Refuse and recycling pick-up is scheduled for Friday, but service evaluations are ongoing.
