The Greenwood Art Project invites the public to view and participate in the first installations by its commissioned artists. On April 4, Yielbonzie Johnson will present “Lives on the Line – a Greenwood Arts Project” at the Church of the Restoration, 1314 N. Greenwood Ave., from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. A program is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Grand Opening Celebration Held for Vision Tulsa Project at TCC Southeast Campus

The new Student Success and Career Center on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus revolutionizes the college onboarding and career process. Designed with the student in mind, the facility allows students to meet with answer center specialists, academic advisors, career specialists and local companies. The $5.3 million facility, part of the Vision Tulsa package approved by voters in 2016, is now part of the campus at 10300 E. 81st Street.

City Surplus Property Auction Set for Saturday, April 27

A WNBA basketball goal used by the Tulsa Shock, the former marquee from the BOK Center, and distinctive coin collections will be among the many items up for bids at the next City of Tulsa Surplus Property Auction. The auction will be held Saturday, April 27, at the City of Tulsa surplus property facility, 108 N. Trenton Ave., beginning at 9:30 a.m.

City Hall, Municipal Court, Other Facilities to Close Friday Afternoons for Furlough from May 8 to Dec. 18

With City of Tulsa general fund revenues for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 projected to be $13 million less than last year, non-sworn employees paid from the general fund will be on furlough for four hours each Friday afternoon through December 23. During the furlough, City Hall and some other City facilities will be closed starting at noon on Friday. Customer Care phone lines will also be closed.

On Sept. 27th, Mayor G.T. Bynum, Kelly VanBuskirk, Tulsa Health Department’s Division Chief of Prevention, Preparedness & Response, and Saint Francis Senior Vice President Dr. Mark Frost gave an update on COVID-19 in the Tulsa area. COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to slowly decline in the Tulsa area. Experts still advise everyone to follow CDC guidance and best mitigation practices to slow the spread. Vaccination, social distancing, masking, and proper hygiene continue to be the best ways to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in the Tulsa area.
