As part of the Resilient Tulsa strategy, Mayor G.T. Bynum and the Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Equity will host equity dinners to encourage constructive, meaningful conversations to bring understanding and unity amongst Tulsans of differing backgrounds.
Each year in the month of August, Tulsa utility customers have the option to change their enrollment status in the EMSAcare program. They may choose to opt in or opt out of the program. EMSAcare is a subscription program by EMSA (Emergency Medical Services Authority) that covers the costs of emergency medical ambulance transport for all permanent members of households that participate in the program. EMSAcare subscribers either with or without health insurance pay no additional out-of-pocket costs – such as co-payments or deductibles – for emergency ambulance services.

Temporary Traffic Calming Exercise
The City of Tulsa will have crews reporting to work at 5 a.m. tomorrow to respond to the forecasted weather in the morning. Crews plan to work the morning event until it is over. Tomorrow night at midnight, the City of Tulsa will have brine crews addressing any areas needing additional treatment. There is also a forecast of snow on Saturday (approx. 1-inch) and the City will have crews available for that event to respond.

Celebrating Native American Day as the second Monday of October, the Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commission will host free, public events for Tulsa’s second annual Native American Day on Oct. 8.
Construction is beginning this month on the Vision Tulsa project – Route 66 Village Train Depot. The Route 66 Village is a railroad and oil derrick themed attraction on Route 66, located at 3770 Southwest Boulevard. Completion of the Train Depot is scheduled in about one year.
City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.
